The Highlands neighborhood just west of downtown Denver is also referred to as Lower Highlands and LoHi. It is bounded by Sheridan Blvd on the west, W 38th Ave on the north, I-25 on the east, and W 29th Ave on the south. A pedestrian bridge connects LoHi to the 16th Street Mall corridor and Commons Park. This is a walkable area with neighborhood coffee shops, dining, and boutiques that is going through change at a rapid pace. It's interesting rolling geography and two+ story homes from the early 1900s make this area a quaint walkers paradise. New architecture in the neighborhood is predominantly modern style lofts and vertical townhomes.
